1. Agreement to Terms

Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before using Coast Clothing Hire. By accessing or using any part of the website, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to Coast Clothing Hire's terms of the agreement, then you may not use the service.

 

2. Rental Agreement

In consideration of the Hire Price to be paid by you and the agreements set forth in these Terms and Conditions, Coast Clothing Hire agrees to rent you the garment as selected by you.

  • You agree and acknowledge that you are renting a garment for a limited time, and that ownership of the garment at all times remains with Coast Clothing Hire.

 

3. Payment and Security Deposit

  • You agree to pay the Hire Price advertised in full to secure the garment.

 

  • An additional Security Deposit OR/AND the value of the hire may be required and must be made prior to pick up/postage to enable Coast Clothing Hire to release the garment to you.

 

  • Once the Hire is confirmed by paying for the Hire online or in-store and agreeing to these Terms and Conditions, you are not entitled to a refund or exchange for the Hire price.

 

4. Cancellations and Changes

  • You understand that if you wish to cancel the rental of the garment, you must provide Coast Clothing Hire with a minimum of 14 days' notice prior to the event date.

 

  • Upon cancellation, you will be entitled to a credit note for the value of the Hire Price. Alternatively, the garment can be swapped for another. Any difference in price must be paid.

 

  • If less notice is given, it is at the discretion of Coast Clothing Hire whether you will be entitled to a credit note.

 

  • Coast Clothing Hire cannot be held responsible due to any sickness or cancellation of events.

 

5. Local Pickup and Postage

5.1 Local Pickup

  • When choosing “local pick up,” you acknowledge that you have the option to inspect and try on the garment prior to renting.

 

  • If you choose not to inspect or try on the garment prior to pickup, you accept the garment in its current condition, provided it is given to you clean and in a reasonable state of repair.

 

5.2 Postage

  • When choosing “postage,” you acknowledge the garment will be posted to you 2 days before your selected delivery date via express Australia Post, and the tracking number will be provided to you upon lodgment.

 

  • Coast Clothing Hire cannot guarantee an order placed within 4 days of the event will arrive in time.

 

6. Returns and Late Fees

  • A pre-paid express return label (or bag) will be included with your package to enable you to return the garment promptly.

 

  • The garment must be lodged at the post office on the last day of the booking

 

  • Failure to do so and provide photographic evidence of the packaged garment and the tracking number may result in a late fee, as described in this agreement.

 

  • Lost or damaged garments during return transit where a lodgment receipt cannot be provided will be treated as damaged or stolen.

 

  • You are responsible for checking for any shipping delays and ensuring timely returns.

 

7. Damage, Loss, and Liabilities

  • You agree you are responsible for any loss, destruction, or damage of the garment from the time of collection until the time of return.

 

  • You will be liable for any damages to the garment, including but not limited to: ripping, soiling, burns, and color distortion.

 

  • You will be charged the full Recommended Retail Price of the garment or the cost of repairing the damages, whichever is the lesser price.

 

  • You agree to compensate for any loss of income due to damages affecting future hires.

 

  • Dry cleaning is included in the Hire Price, and you agree to return the item unwashed.

 

8. Return Instructions

  • Local customers agree to return the garment to 623 Seaview Road Henley Beach 5022 South Australia during store hours on the last day of the booking

 

  • Late returns may result in the item not being received on time, and a late fee may apply.

 

9. Insurance and Collection

  • For insurance purposes, Coast Clothing Hire will keep a copy of your credit card details on file for the duration of the hire period.

 

  • Coast Clothing Hire reserves the right to take all necessary steps to collect amounts due from you, including legal action or using third-party collection agencies.

 

10. Sale Items

  • Accessories purchased are non-returnable and not eligible for exchange or refund unless they are unopened and in their original packaging.

 

  • If the accessory remains unopened, it may be returned within 14 days of purchase for a refund or exchange.

 

11. Mailing List

By renting or purchasing from Coast Clothing Hire, you agree to have your email address and phone number added to Coast Clothing Hire’s exclusive mailing list. You may unsubscribe from this list at any time.

 

12. Changes to Terms

Coast Clothing Hire reserves the right to amend the Terms and Conditions at any time and without notice to you.

 

13. Bookings and Reservations

13.1 Dates and Payment

  • Dates are reserved after full payment only.

 

  • Once a garment has been reserved for a date, it cannot be swapped for another garment or date.

13.2 Refunds

  • For any reason, including change of mind, a store credit can be offered up until 14 days prior to your event. Within 14 days of your event, the hire price is non-refundable.

 

  • The store credit is valid for 12 months from the date of issue.

 

14. Payment Terms

14.1 Payment Method

  • Payment is accepted via credit card, debit card, apple pay, google pay or PayPal

 

  • Payment must be made before picking up a garment or having it posted.

 

15. Bonds and Security Deposits

15.1 Bond Requirements

  • A bond is required for some garments; the cost of the bond varies depending on the garment.

15.2 Bond Return

  • The bond is returned within 3 business days following inspection of the garment to ensure it is in original condition.

15.3 Bond Deductions

  • The bond will not be returned if alterations/adjustments have been made without consent.

 

  • If further cleaning or repairs are required, the bond will be held temporarily, and costs will be deducted.

 

16. Dry Cleaning

16.1 Dry Cleaning Costs

  • The cost of cleaning varies depending on the garment and is included in the hire price.

 

  • Coast Clothing Hire will clean the garment. Do not attempt to clean it yourself.

 

17. Postage and Delivery

17.1 Delivery Delays

  • In case of delivery delays by Australia Post, Coast Clothing Hire will issue a full refund, including postage costs.

17.2 Store Credit for Misfits

  • If a hired garment does not fit or meet your needs, you can receive a store credit valid for 12 months from the date of delivery, provided the garment is returned within 24 hours.

 

18. Store Credit Terms

  • Store credit is valid for 12 months from the date of issuance and can only be used by the individual who made the original booking.
  • Store credits are non-transferable.

 

19. Try-Ons

19.1 Try-On Bookings

  • Booking a try-on does not guarantee the garment is reserved for your event.

 

19.2 Fitting Concerns

  • If a local customer opts not to try on a garment and later finds it does not fit, a store credit will be issued if the garment is returned the same day.

 

20. Rental Period and Late Fees

  • Garments must be returned in accordance with the rental period outlined in this agreement, and late fees may apply if returns are not made on time.
